With its highly-anticipated release on Xbox One and Windows 10 only a few weeks away, Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment have revealed the official cinematic trailer for the action-packed, modern-day thriller. Agent 47 is back. The Hitman season has premiered — and we couldn’t be more excited!
Today, you can download and play the first episode of Hitman on PS4. This is your first step into the world of assassination and it’s a very proud moment for everyone that has been involved with the game. In many ways, this is just the beginning of a fantastic year for Hitman.
We’re giving you the weekend to experience the Prologue, start exploring Paris, and try your hand at the first Escalation Contract before we unleash more of our live content next week. Escalation Contracts have a strong focus on having fun with the game mechanics. You’ll need to complete a hit that will escalate in difficulty over five stages — pretty much anything goes in this mode. It’s more about being playful than realistic. Also next week, we’ll release the first ever Elusive Target for Hitman. This target...
In many ways, Tom Clancy’s The Division shows New York City at its absolute worst. The city has been decimated by a virus, after all, leaving abandoned vehicles everywhere, trash piled 10 feet high, and roaming bands of looters to add a further element of misery. Oh, and corpses. So many corpses. But the game is also loaded with tiny details that show off the city in a shockingly realistic – and even beautiful – fashion. Here are five impressive subtleties that we’ve noticed so far. Stone in Love Take aim at one of the zillion pieces of decorative stone,... See the rest of the story on Xbox Wire

Hey there! I’m Chris Chung, an indie developer and crazy cat guy who made Catlateral Damage, a silly game about being a house cat on a rampage.
Today, Fire Hose Games and I are excited to announce that we’re launching the game on PS4 on March 22nd, with a 20% discount for PS Plus members! Me-wow!
Catlateral Damage is a first-person destructive cat simulator where you play as a cat and make messes. The controls are very similar to other first-person games, but there are no guns, shooting, or violence. Instead, you use your paws to cause as much destruction as possible in your owner’s house by knocking all of their belongings onto the floor. It’s quite a meditative experience that allows you to better empathize with the felines in your life.
And it’s not just limited to your house; you can also wreck a log cabin, a mansion, and even a...
Even in the clutches of a ceaseless winter, this planet supports life. Cat-like creatures prowl through the cold, hunting tirelessly and growling at my approach. The dunes around me are icy and dark, and the chill wind eats away at the thermal protection of my suit — paltry layers between me and a frozen death.
This is one of quintillions of planets in No Man’s Sky. Some are exorbitantly beautiful. Others are cruel. And at a recent event in Los Angeles, the team at Hello Games showcased how “survival” plays a central role in this interstellar exploration.
Many of you have glimpsed the awe-inspiring concept of No Man’s Sky on PS4 in its trailers. One moment you’re trekking across an alien planet, untouched by sentient life, and the next you’re aboard your trusty craft,...
The year was 2013, and our then-four man team (and some amazing volunteers) at Muteki were just finishing almost two years of work on Dragon Fantasy: Book II. We had finally made the glorious 16-bit style JRPG we set out to make when we were teenagers. Only it wasn’t done.
Sometimes when you pour everything you’ve got into a game for years on end until your only options are to ship or die, it’s hard to really see what you’ve got. And what we had was a good game, but it was buried under a pile of rough edges.
Fast forward to 2015. Years had gone by, new jobs had been found, yet we still weren’t able to move on because we hadn’t really accomplished what we set out to do with Dragon Fantasy.
The solution was clear: time to get back to work. We put in time on our nights and weekends for a year to fix the game that had been our childhood dream. We even got some help from our very good friends over...
In 2014, our team started an independent games company in a tiny closet of an office, working in bars until early hours of the morning to pay rent and bills. Often working 70-hour work weeks to make sure our game could be made, it was a tough challenge but we truly had a hunger to push the boundaries of video games as a medium outside of AAA development and make a unique game like no other. That game turned out to be Pneuma: Breath of Life, our story-driven first person puzzler that was part of Xbox’s Games with Gold line... See the rest of the story on Xbox Wire
At its core, Teslagrad is about simple things: The contrast of darkness and radiant colors, a story told through the gameplay itself, and the joy of playing with magnets. When we originally created Teslagrad, there were some truly fun and exciting levels and concepts that we simply had to cut. Though they felt amazingly satisfying for the players that could handle them, testing showed us that many people found the puzzles and execution too hard. We did not want to keep them from enjoying the game we had created, so mercilessly these levels were cut. The Xbox One release gave... See the rest of the story on Xbox Wire
