Hello everyone! This past fall we rolled out a long-awaited update to Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta & Minecraft: Pocket Edition – basic redstone components. Today we’re excited to let you know that we’ll be adding even more of the gameplay elements you’ve been eagerly awaiting to both of these editions with the Overworld Update coming by the end of this month. Yay! Here’s what we’re adding in the Overworld Update: Finally make more advanced mechanical contraptions for your world with additional redstone components. Comparators, repeaters, dispensers, droppers, hoppers, trapped chests and various additional Minecart types will all be available. Invent all the things! Tangle with spooky witches and their huts during your adventures. Witch huts found while exploring swamps also now contain an exciting new feature – their cauldrons will be filled with a randomly generated potion that you can snag for your own if you’re feeling sticky-fingered. Electronic Arts may be known for juggernauts like Madden NFL, Battlefield, and Dragon Age… but in the case of the all-new Unravel, the publisher knew that it had to stick up for the little guy. During last year’s E3 Expo, Patrick Söderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios, revealed that he was so impressed by the game when he first saw it that he immediately knew EA had to have it. Söderlund had come a long way to see this hidden gem – to Coldwood Interactive, a 14-person indie studio in northern Sweden. And we’re talking way north in a... See the rest of the story on Xbox Wire
Since last December, when we first announced that Rocket League was headed to Xbox One, new and existing fans alike have been asking us WHEN they could expect to see our soccer-meets-driving, sports-action hybrid come to the platform. As you can tell by our headline, we’re proud to announce that the answer to that question is next week – it’ll be available beginning on Wednesday, February 17! Rocket League has been a long time coming to Xbox One, and the team here at Psyonix is incredibly proud to be bringing it to you thanks to our development partners at Panic... It’s finally here: Cobalt, developed by the Oxeye Game Studio team, is a 2D action-platformer/shooter/adventure/arena fighter… and, well, it’s kinda all of those. Check out five of the reasons we’re loving one of the coolest little games of 2016. The Acrobatic, Bullet-time Combat System The defining trait of Cobalt is its combat, which involves a mix of firearms, melee combat, and explosives. When enemies take a shot at your robot, time slows down – allowing you to roll and parry the attacks, and get a few shots out yourself. It all feels like a martial arts film starring a cute little... We live in an exciting time. And no, not just because we all now live in a world where you can turn on your PlayStation 4 and download Firewatch, the debut game from our studio Campo Santo. And no, for the nine of you who are my co-workers and reading this, not because you now get to come down off of the manic launch high you’ve been riding and return to regular sleep patterns. No, I’m referring to the fact that we all now live in a world where less than a dozen folks can get together, download a game engine and put a couple years into making a game that you’re playing on a PlayStation. That’s crazy! That’s mental! This was not true like, jeez, *five minutes ago.*
If you buy and play Firewatch and enjoy it, you live in a world where there are more and more original,...
Get ready for some seasonally appropriate shooting action. Rainbow Six Siege has unleashed its first major content update, and it’s a doozy. Dubbed Operation Black Ice, this frosty downloadable content pack comes with a (free!) new map, two new Operators, and a host of game updates and fixes. Let’s take a look at what’s included. The Map Well, some rich guy is having a real bad day. In Boffin Bay (near Greenland), the luxury yacht Boréal has become fully encased in ice. That’s the premise for Yacht, the new map included with the DLC. The huge pleasure ship boasts four... See the rest of the story on Xbox Wire
Hi everyone! I’m Nicholas McDonnell from Samurai Punk and I’d just like to say thanks to everyone who came by and checked out the PS4 version of Screencheat at PAX Prime and PlayStation Experience. It was great to meet everyone!
We’re also excited to announce that Screencheat will be coming to PS4 on March 1st.
If you haven’t heard of Screencheat yet, it’s a split-screen first-person shooter that centers around the conceit of screen cheating/peeping/looking (looking at the screens of other players to locate their position). In Screencheat all players are invisible, turning this controversial tactic into the core mechanic of the game.
Although the initial version of the game launched on PC, the PS4 version of Screencheat will launch with all the work we’ve done over the past year to build on the core experience and make it the best local/online multiplayer game for you and your friends.
