Welcome to the world of Dangerous Golf, a game coming to PS4 this May.
I’m Fiona Sperry and I co-founded Three Fields Entertainment with partners Alex Ward and Paul Ross in February 2014. We’re a small, independent British studio comprised of veteran developers from Criterion Games, Ubisoft, and Disney. We’re no strangers to blockbuster games having worked on the entire Burnout series, Black, and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit over the past fifteen years. Our small but extremely talented development team has more than 150 years in game development experience.
For our first title, we wanted to make a wild, physics-powered experience that harnesses the gameplay, technology, and power of PS4. We also wanted to focus on what we do best — which is making fast, fun, and spectacular arcade style games. Dangerous Golf is just that. It’s as serious a true golf game as Burnout was a serious simulation of...
The latest Halo 5: Guardians content release is available for free beginning today. Infinity’s Armory delivers REQs straight from the arsenal of the most powerful space vessel in the UNSC fleet. Players can battle it out on two new battlegrounds, with the winding routes of steel and sand on Riptide for Arena and dynamic battles and open sightlines enabled by Urban for Warzone Assault. The Halo 2 Battle Rifle also makes its return to Halo 5: Guardians as a Mythic loadout weapon REQ to deploy in Warzone, and is also selectively available in Arena. Additionally, Infinity’s Amory adds new uncommon... See the rest of the story on Xbox Wire
Hi, PlayStation Nation! My name is Alex Monney and I’m the communications manager for Perfect World Entertainment. Our team here at PWE and friends over at Tuque Games are thrilled to unveil Livelock, launching on PS4 this year. Livelock is a fast-paced, cooperative, top-down shooter based in a post-human world where machines are waging an infinite war against each other.
Livelock takes place in the 22nd century following a catastrophic gamma ray burst that wipes humanity out. The world has now been taken over by Rogue Clusters — groups of mechanized armies that have taken over control of different territories following the corruption of their data and are waging war against each other. In order to prevent this, SATCOM, a highly sophisticated satellite Super A.I., is awakening backups of human consciousness known as Capital Intellects, who have been inserted into large machines built by humans before the gamma ray burst.
When thinking about Livelock, our teams looked to create...
Hello all, I’m Kevin from DreamSail Games and I’m excited to announce that our studio’s first game, Blade Ballet, is coming to PS4 this Spring. Take a look at our trailer to see our four-player, whirling robot deathmatch in action.
Blade Ballet indulges your heart’s deepest, hidden desire of controlling adorable robots as they spin, slash, and stab each other to bits. Each bot taps into a unique slice of our team’s crazy ideas about futuristic combat. Sneaky cheaters bypass shields. Demolitions experts bent on destruction hurl explosives across the screen. And my personal favorite smashes its competitors with a giant wrecking ball.
The battle arenas are even more insane than the bots. Crush your friends on indoor ski slopes while dodging robo-trees and surprisingly dangerous cardboard cutouts of humans. Battle in an AI storage core and use giant...
Smash a priceless chandelier, set fire to a gas station and destroy a kitchen full of china — this isn’t your average golf game. Today Three Fields Entertainment announced the company’s first official game, Dangerous Golf. Available for download on Xbox One in May 2016, Dangerous Golf is an irreverent, silly, fun approach to golf games that challenges players to break the rules and wreak havoc on more than 100 holes in four unexpected locations. Led by Criterion Games founders and creators of the Burnout franchise, Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward, the Three Fields Entertainment development team is comprised of... The Witness is out now. I’ve played and finished Jonathan Blow’s eight-year opus (twice!), but I still haven’t discovered all of its deepest secrets. I’d advise anyone playing The Witness to go in as blind as possible, but having become relatively knowledgeable about the game I’ve come up with six pieces of advice I’d like to share with you.
These tips will not spoil anything about the game’s story, locations, mechanics or secrets. Rather, they’re simply things I wish I had known when I first started playing. Enjoy!
You’re gonna need it. Sure, you might be able to solve most of The Witness’ puzzles in your head, or by workshopping ideas directly on the panel you’re working on, but there are a...
At some point, every hardcore TMNT fan picks a favorite. It’s not a selection that we take lightly, and maybe that’s because we know that our Turtle will become something of a lifelong friend. So, we carefully weigh each character’s pros and cons and make our choice based on the Turtle that resonates with our own personality. It might not be a conscious decision, but very few TMNT fans waver after making their initial selection.
Myself? I’m usually more of a “Mikey” kind of guy, but Donnie has the coolest moves. So, if you and I ever play the co-op mode in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, I get to be Donnie. I called him first.
Before we play, though, you’ll need to select a Turtle. Leonardo’s katanas make him the most well rounded character, thanks to his medium-ranged reach and moderate attack speed. Raphael, on the other hand, is a little bit slower, but he’s a powerhouse. And even though Mikey’s nunchucks limit his strike zone, his...
It’s been a long road to get here and we have worked very hard to make the best game we can. It is the best thing I have ever worked on, and being able to put it out in the world, it’s a good feeling.
Reviews have started coming in already and they are very good! If you haven’t heard of the game before now (or have heard of it but don’t know what it is or why it’s interesting!), and think you might enjoy a game where you explore an abandoned island and solve puzzles, go ahead and check out a few reviews. But if you are already interested in the game, I would encourage you to stay away from reviews, because some parts of the game are...
Today I’m pleased to share an important new moment in PlayStation history that will power the next 20 years of PlayStation innovation.
We are announcing the formation of a new company called Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (SIE) that will serve as the headquarters for everything PlayStation. This new company, headquartered out of the United States in San Mateo, California, joins the forces of both Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Sony Network Entertainment LLC, combining the strengths and talents of both companies.
The formation of SIE will create an even stronger PlayStation. That means an even bigger emphasis on developing pioneering platforms like PS4 and PlayStation VR, world-class games from our World Wide Studios development teams, and innovative network services such as...
